SHEASHAM collected their first maximum points in nine matches after stunning defending champions FC Platinum 2-1 in a pulsating Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Mandava Stadium yesterday.
Liberty Masveure notched a brace for the Construction Boys while Gift Mbweti grabbed FC Platinum's consolation.
This was FC Platinum's second defeat at home following their 1-0 loss to Yadah Stars.
However Norman Mapeza is not losing hope despite his team's shortcomings.
"We did well in the first half, but we lacked focus in some instances. They got two chances, and they scored. This shows that we have to work hard. It's still too early to press the panic button. We have time to recover, but there is a lot of work to do," Mapeza said.
Sheasham gaffer Lizwe Sweswe was on cloud nine after getting his first win since taking over early this month.

"Since I came, the boys have been working very hard. These are the results of the hard work we have been putting," Sweswe said.
"I hope we will keep this spirit. Now that we have confidence, I'm sure we will start picking up good results as we move forward."
Jarrison Selemani got FC Platinum's first chance after two minutes, as he cut inside from the left flank before unleashing a thunderbolt that needed Elton Sibanda to top it over the bar.
New signing, Hilary Bakacheza turned on the screws for Sheasham, engineering a scintillating move from the left flank, and his effort was blocked by goalie Wallace Magalane before Nomore Chinyerere cleared it for a throw in.
After 25 minutes Selemani forced another save from Sibanda from an acute angle, as FC Platinum kept prodding for a goal.
Five minutes later, Sheasham had a goal disallowed after Physiwell Madhazi found Masveure unmarked, but his effort was ruled offside by the referee with goalie Magalane a beaten man.
Mapeza tinkered with his squad at the break, introducing Walter Musona and Juan Mutudza for Donald Teguru and Jarrison Selemani.
And Mutudza almost broke the deadlock, two minutes after coming in, with a rasping shot that missed the target by inches.
However, Sheasham broke the deadlock on the 61st minute mark through Masveure, who slotted the ball home from a pin-point pass from Hilary Bakacheza.
Mbweti restored parity two minutes later, with a stylish tap-in from a Chinyerere curling free-kick.
From then on, FC Platinum were in the driving seat, with Mutudza and Musona leading forward movements.
On the 80th minute, Mutudza hit the upright, with a header from inside the box as goalie Sibanda remained rooted at one spot.
Masveure put the game beyond FC Platinum reach in the referee's optional time, with powerful header from a Nigel Mpinduki curling cross.
