The Zimbabwe Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (ZERA) successfully held the ZERA 2025 Golf Tournament at Chapman Golf Club in Harare last week with proceeds from the tournament being channeled to the Zimbabwe Albino Association.

About 130 players from different corporates and clubs turned up for the tournament.

Speaking at the price giving ceremony ZERA CEO Eddington Mazambani applauded the golfers who participated in the tournament as he challenged them not to wait for ZERA golf day only to raise funds to support people with albinism

“Your support drives our initiative to support people living with albinism.

“Their challenges, we need constant support. We can afford to live for a day without moisturising our skin, but our colleagues cannot. So let's not wait for ZERA golf  day to support people with albinism,” he said.

Zimbabwe Albinos Association Mashonaland Central Representative George Kamusengezi lauded the regulatory authority which has helped members from his association.

“On behalf of the Zimbabwe Albino Association in Mashonaland Central I want to thank ZERA and it's partners for this kind gesture. Mash Central is a very hot  area which sometimes experiences about 30°c which contradicts with the requirements of our skins. So with  this donation the sun screens will help us survive in the hot weather conditions,” he said.

The overall winner of the tournament was S Zirebwa who finished on 44 points while the women's contest was won by Talent Kadzima who managed 37 points.
