I have no hard feelings - Nyemudzo

Nyemudzo defeated Enock Porusingazi in the Zanu PF primary elections, but was disqualified after being accused of brewing illicit beer at his Checheche homestead.

ZANU PF Chipinge South candidate in the August 2023 elections Robert Chatogo Nyemudzo said he remained loyal to the party leadership even after he was suspended for allegedly brewing illicit beer.

Zanu PF lifted his suspension recently.

Nyemudzo defeated Enock Porusingazi in the Zanu PF primary elections, but was disqualified after being accused of brewing illicit beer at his Checheche homestead.

Porusingazi, however, lost the seat to Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) candidate Clifford Hlatywayo, a development that angered the Zanu PF leadership in Manicaland.

The seat had been under Zanu PF for years.

“l am happy that I have been re-admitted back into the party,” he said.

Nyemudzo said he had no hard feelings over his suspension and arrest.

“Even when l was arrested, l continued with projects that I had started which l had started. l have completed most of them.”

The projects include a five roomed house for an albino family, a clinic at Machona, refurbished mortuary at St Peters and drilled boreholes among others.

He is also building a crèche at Mukukuzi.
