Jupiter Drawing Room (Zimbabwe) & Partners, comprising Jericho Advertising, announced this week that Hogg would bring many years of industry experience to their business, having held senior positions at various Young & Rubicam offices in the region and having headed his own advertising group and research agencies.

“My aim will be to assist and build two great agencies, ensuring that they are best of class in Zimbabwe. In particular, I will be bringing a strong research element to the business combined with the strong creative energy that the agencies possess; it will be a formidable offering to clients,” Hogg said.

Jupiter and Partners CE Denford Magora said Hogg’s reputation in the Zimbabwe advertising industry and his network of contacts would be particularly valuable in building the business.

He said his extensive experience, network and contacts would be utilised to grow and expand the already successful agencies with a focus on training the business and staff on international best practice.

“It is immeasurable honour to have Michael Hogg accept the executive chairmanship of our group in Zimbabwe. We look forward to benefitting from his unrivalled experience and deep-rooted marketing and advertising knowledge,” Magora said.

He added Hogg would help cement the Jericho and Jupiter’s reputations.

This reputation has seen Jericho crowned the undisputed leader of the advertising and marketing industry in Zimbabwe through winning the Marketers’ Association of Zimbabwe (MAZ) Superbrand of the Year Award in the advertising sector.

“The entire Jupiter (Zimbabwe) team welcomes this legend on board and look forward to forging ahead with a sustained attack on mediocrity in every territory we enter,” Magora added.

Hogg is a legendary advertising man, who sat at the pinnacle of the industry for 34 years.
