Dynamos lost their match against Kiglon on Wednesday while leaders Motor Action were held to a 1-1 draw against Gunners on the same day.
The Dynamos result left fans demanding that Chiweshe be relived of his duties as the team failed to take advantage of their title rivals’ failure to secure all three points.
There is little belief among the fans now that the coach can guide the team to the summit of the log.
However, Chuchu believes he has the credentials to complete the job and does not want to be questioned.
“I have achieved a lot with this team so whoever is demanding my exit is day-dreaming,” said Chiweshe. “The problem with Dynamos fans is that they think they own the league. They do not appreciate when one is making a good effort. There are other teams in the league that are working as hard as we are to win. I will just ignore their abuse and continue doing a good job with the team.
“It’s just that some of the fans hate me and they do not like some of my promising players like Thabani Kamusoko. They have to know that they do not own me, I have a contract running till June next year and it’s only the executive that can terminate it, not the fans.”
Chiweshe took over the reigns in May last year and led DeMbare to a 13- match winning streak.
At one point they looked firm favourites to win the title but fizzled out in the last few games to surrender top spot to Gunners.
Chiweshe is confident of winning the title arguing that his team has got easier fixtures compared to fellow title contenders Motor Action.
