Is the AG Qualified?

THE person who holds the office of Attorney-General must also be able to qualify for appointment to the office of judge of the High Court and Supreme Court.

I know the bar has been set in the basement at present, but I wonder whether the current Attorney-General could be appointed to the office of judge. The nominal qualification is that he should have served as a lawyer for seven years. Beyond that, qualification for appointment to the office of judge desires a lot more.

It requires: sound legal knowledge, impartiality, independence, exemplary personal conduct, judicial temperament, etc.

The Zimbabwe Constitution S76 (3a)  refers.
