ZIMBABWE’S Mine Entra, a project of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), is expected to attract more exhibitors than last year, the ZITF gener
al manager Daniel Chigaru said this week.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, Chigaru said despite controversial amendments to the country’s mining laws proposed by the government, Mine Entra had received an increased number of enquiries from exhibitors.
Mine Entra is an annual mining, engineering and transport exhibition which started 10 years ago. It is held at the ZITF and this year’s theme is “Highlight your growth potential”.
“Despite the proposal by government to draft new mining laws, this year’s Mine Entra is selling well. So far we have received 63 direct bookings and 11 indirect bookings which make a total of 74. Last year we had 57 direct and nine indirect exhibitors,” Chigaru said.
