THE Zimbabwe Institute of Public Relations (ZIPR) says the British American Tobacco Zimbabwe (BAT) Communicator of the Year Award for 2002/2003 will be presented on November

27 at the Harare Holiday Inn.

A spokesman for ZIPR said this year the award would be presented at a dinner jointly sponsored by ZIPR and BAT.

He said nominations were invited from members of the institute and from members of other organisations.

“Anyone (not necessarily a member of ZIPR) who has made a valuable contribution in the field of communication in this country is eligible for consideration,” he said.

Previous winners have included Patti Pink (Your Heritage Zimbabwe), Merryl Harrison (SPCA), Francis Nhema (Zimbabwe Building Society), Morgan Tsvangirai, when he was secretary general of the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions, Dr Liz Robb of Child Line and Geoffrey Nyarota formerly of the Daily News.
