TZI has completed unbundling Strategis Holdings after offloading its minority shareholding to management of the healthcare company.

TZI chief executive Hillary Duckworth confirmed that the group no longer had a stake in Strategis Holdings.

“The group has been moving out of Strategies for the past three years,” he said. “The last chunk was sold to management a few months ago. Effectively we are out of the health group.”

Intermarket Holdings, Interfin and the current management now own Strategis.

TZI however still wholly owns offshore Strategis Africa.

Duckworth could not disclose the stake taken over by management.

In pursuit of the demerger strategy, TZI has already unbundled Art Corporation to concentrate on its core business.

The Strategis group corporate affairs and marketing manager Tendai Jambwa would not confirm the deal.

“The official comment from Strategis is that we are not aware of that deal. We therefore cannot comment on anything that we are not aware of,” said Jambwa.

The healthcare group is also on the verge of listing on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange.
