September 10 was set aside for the celebrations and the event took place at Midlands Children’s Home.

The celebrations were marked by the donation of $240 000 to the children’s home by MicroKing.

The product development and marketing manager Lynnmary Moyo presented the cheque.

“Donations are scarce at the moment due to economic hardships and we would like to thank MicroKing for remembering us during these difficult times,”said Mavis Dhliwayo, the Midlands Children’s Home matron after being presented with the cheque.

She said the money would be used to buy food for the children and for paying outstanding bills.
