Future belongs to the informed

WE are now living in the knowledge society where creative thinkers’ advice should be heeded by government.

But how can we safeguard that society when we bomb the

press, ban independent papers and non-governmental organisations?

When one bombs the press, he bombs the people – their freedom of thought and their choices. The press should be vibrant and robust for without it there will be wilful abuse of authority. The consequences of ignorance are too ghastly to contemplate. This is the age of information…the future belongs to the informed.
