BY STYLE REPORTER FINALLY it’s here!

The much-awaited album by musician Sasha “Amadhuve” will be released on August 5 at Madhadha Leisure Centre in Waterfalls’ Zindoga shopping centre.

Financial constraints coupled by dearth of promoters as well as Covid-19 lockdowns derailed the diminutive singer’s album arrangements.

However, it looks like the impediments have been cleared as Sasha Amadhuve now has the financial backing of her husband while promoters have come on board and authorities relaxed the Covid-regulations.

Next Thursday, she drops her debut album titled Mutsindo which carries 10 tracks, which are fusions of the mbira beat and contemporary instruments.

“Finally, I am launching my debut album at Madhadha Leisure Centre at Zindoga on August 5,” she said.

“I had promised my fans for a long time and I think this is the time to make them happy.”

A protégé and niece of the late mbira musician Edna Chizema, aka Mbuya Madhuve, Sasha Amadhuve has six singles, including the hit Machinda, whose visuals have been doing well.

During her live shows, she will be sampling some of the songs on the forthcoming production and these include Nehanda Unplugged and Nhai Mambo.

“Nehanda Unplugged and Nhai Mambo are coming in as bonus tracks as I have been sampling them whenever I held live shows,” Sasha Amadhuve said.

Other songs on the album include Mutsindo, Sahwira, Murume Chidhakwa, Ziva Kwawakabva, Nzira Dzemusango, featuring Diana Samukange, Ndoita Rombe, featuring Progress Chipfumo, Zvinondinetsa and Kaiwa.
