‘Extreme Prophecies’ come to Mutare

Affectionately known as Prophet Israel, the man of cloth recently launched an assembly in the mountainous city and has returned to meet both new and old believers through his Back to Christ Movement.

The Caurtald Theatre in Mutare will today resemble Bethesda in Jerusalem where influential prophet, Jay Israel, of The Light World Ministries is set to perform miracles and “extreme prophecies".

Affectionately known as Prophet Israel, the man of cloth recently launched an assembly in the mountainous city and has returned to meet both new and old believers through his Back to Christ Movement.

Today’s service is dubbed: Strictly Prophetic Day.

In a recent interview, Israel said the event would change the lives of many people.

“It will be a service of giving direction to people through the prophecies. People are living in confusion of different things,” said Israel.

“Some are confused about their careers, marriage, relationships, which business to do and so forth. This service will be one of a kind where it will be strictly prophetic to give direction to people. It is the day for believers to experience the Glory of God through prophecies and miracles, Saturday is the day.”

Israel promised residents in Mutare to be ready to restore hope to lost and desperate souls.

“I am ready to change souls. This is the special moment for believers and non-believers to come and see the great works of God at hand. People should come in their numbers and witness these holy acts,” he said.

While most of Jesus’ famous miracles were performed at Bethesda in Jerusalem, Israel said the Caurtald Theatre would host a replica of the same miracles and would be a healing ground to the afflicted.

Israel, real name Jacob Dube, is known for his strange prophecies and miracles during his sermons in and outside the country.

He claims to have spiritual powers to heal the sick, perform miracles, and deliver people from demonic possession.

The prophet grew up in a Christian family and was introduced to the teachings of the Bible at a young age.

He started preaching at the age of 16 and began conducting crusades in Zimbabwe and other African countries.

Israel rose to fame in 2016 after he started Spirit Life Mega Church in Pretoria, which is now one of the largest churches in South Africa.

The church has branches in several African countries, including Zimbabwe, Nigeria and Ghana.

Israel returned to Zimbabwe last year from his base in South Africa.

He also became popular after prophesying that President Emmerson Mnangagwa would win the August 23 and 24 elections with a wide margin.
