THE Women in Business Conference roars into life today where Nedbank Zimbabwe Limited in partnership with Zodwa Foundation will be hosting South African businesswoman, actress and filmmaker Connie Ferguson.

The business conference, targeting women entrepreneurs and women in the corporate world will be running under the theme: Step up and Build Your Legacy.

This comes at a time when Nedbank is still celebrating and profiling women who continue to break barriers in business.

The event will feature speakers that embody outstanding, courageous business narratives such as Nyaradzo Moyo, managing director of Yanaya and Tanya Masiyiwa, non-executive director of Econet Wireless with Connie Ferguson as the keynote speaker. The dinner will be hosted at Meikles Hotel today while a luncheon will be hosted at The Venue in Avondale the following day.

Nedbank has previously partnered with different organisations that advocate for women’s empowerment, namely ZNCC Women’s Desk, Lioness of Africa, Proweb, Women Alliance of Business Associations in Zimbabwe (WABAZ), and Women Excel, among others. The event will bring together different groups of women who will be taught different investment strategies for women in business.

“The Nedbank Zimbabwe leadership will share insights into accessible investment strategies for women in creating and preserving wealth and legacy for business and individuals,” Nedbank said yesterday.

“This event brings together a diverse grouping of women, celebrating the achievements of different generations in a range of career and business spaces.”
