PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa will officially open the international renewable energy conference and expo, which will run from March 23 to 25 in Victoria Falls.

The indaba is organised by our sister publication — The Standard.

This year’s edition will run under the theme ‘The New Frontier Net Zero Africa’.

Various local and international speakers have been lined up for the conference – one of the biggest such gathering in the region discussing the future of energy.

These include Energy and Power Development minister Soda Zhemu and government officials.

The Standard editor Kholwani Nyathi said: “In the face of climate change, adoption of renewable energy is no longer a matter of choice for Zimbabwe, but a necessity.

As a leading platform for conversations meant to transform our society, The Standard has taken the lead in making sure that Zimbabwe is not left behind in the adoption of renewable energies.”

Nyathi added that the renewable energy conference has become an important fixture on the Zimbabwe calendar, attracting top experts in the energy industry, policy makers, investors and financiers. — Staff Writer.
