Veteran Arubi back in Warriors fold

The 38-year-old Arubi, plying his trade for SuperSport in South Africa, is one of three goalkeepers including Dynamos' Prince Tafiremutsa and Wallace Magalane of FC Platinum.

Veteran goalkeeper Washington Arubi has been recalled to the national team after Warriors coach Baltemar Brito included him in a 24-men squad assembling in Harare for a training camp.

The training camp is part of preparations for next month's Fifa World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Nigeria.

Zifa failed to organize a friendly match for the team during the current Fifa international break.

They resorted to inviting players to the capital city for training only although they could not bring in European-based players for the hastily organized camp.

The 38-year-old Arubi, plying his trade for SuperSport in South Africa, is one of three goalkeepers including Dynamos' Prince Tafiremutsa and Wallace Magalane of FC Platinum.

Also making a return to national recognition is Ronald Pfumbidzai who is also at SA-side SuperSport.
