Nedbank Zimbabwe MD Sibongile Moyo quits

 Nedbank Zimbabwe has announced the resignation of its Managing Director, Sibongile Moyo, who has stepped down to pursue private interests after nearly six years at the helm. 

She was appointed as MD on April 1 2020. 

In a statement, Company Secretary Farai Sithole said Moyo’s decision follows a “distinguished tenure” marked by strong leadership during a challenging operating environment, including the COVID-19 pandemic. 

“During her tenure, the Bank strengthened its institutional resilience and capital position, improved operational efficiencies, delivered sustainable financial performance, and achieved leading brand recognition supported by strong client advocacy,” Sithole said. 

The bank lauded Moyo’s contribution to its growth and stability 

Heresy Herry, currently Head of Origination and Sales and a member of the Nedbank Zimbabwe Executive Committee, has been appointed Acting Managing Director for the period from 23 January to 30 April 2026.
