ZSE opens week firmer

THE Zimbabwe Stock Exchange industrial index opened the week on a high note, adding 0,40 points to settle at 99,20 points driven by gains in Delta, Old Mutual and First Mutual.

Delta went up by US$0,0116 to close at US$0,5641; Old Mutual shifted up US$0,0070 to settle at US$1,81 while First Mutual increased by US$0,0020 to trade at US$0,022.

On the downside Barclays, whose parent company announced plans to reduce its interest in Africa by 2019, shed US$0,0011 to US$0,13. Telecoms giant Econet and insurer Nicoz Diamond both lost US$0,0001 to trade at US$0,23 and US$0,016 respectively.
