GHANA is targeting 5,4% gross domestic product growth in 2016, up from 4,1% last year and will aim to reduce inflation to 10 percent this year from 17,7% in 2015, Finance Minister Seth Terkper told a news conference on Tuesday.

Provisional figures showed the fiscal deficit at 7% at the end of 2015, lower than an initial target of 7,3%, he said. Ghana is aiming to restore rapid growth after a slump caused by a fall in commodity prices and a fiscal crisis.-Reuters
