ST GEORGE’S College and Dominican Convent’s production of Ipi n’Tombi, staged earlier this year at the two schools, has been revived for a second run, this time at Harare’s Reps Theatre.

Written by Bebe Egnos and Gail Lakier, the show tells of a young couple’s search for love in a background of rural and urban complexities, and features a large cast made up of students of the two schools. It will run at Reps for only three performances –– today at 7pm and tomorrow at 2.30pm and 7pm.

Directed by Sue Leggett and with musical direction by Kundisai Mtero, Ipi n’Tombi includes a selection of popular songs and has long been an internationally-acclaimed musical that features the unique style of South African music that gets toes tapping and fingers clicking. Booking for the shows is now open at The Spotlight.
