Tawanda Mazorodze
HE has over four years’ combined experience in qualitative and quantitative research and risk management in insurance and equity investments. He holds a BCom (Hons) degree in Actuarial Science with the National University of Science and Technology (Nust) and is currently a Level 3 Candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst programme, and also a candidate in the Financial Risk Management programme offered by the  Global Association of Risk Professionals. He is also a student with the Faculty and Institute of Actuaries UK. He is responsible for macro-economic, quantitative financial modeling and fundamental analysis in the equities research department.

 
Ranga Makwata
Makwata is a seasoned analyst with strong aptitude for fundamental analysis including valuations of both listed and unlisted companies using financial models. He is also a charting enthusiast who believes that technical analysis is a necessary complement to fundamental valuation in securities trading and investment management.

 

Makwata is an experienced writer who has been contributing opinion pieces on economic as well as investment issues in business newspapers, and has been one of the leading analysts for national surveys for quoted companies as well as banks for leading publications in the country. He has more than five years in research and investment having worked at Tetrad Investment Bank, TN Financial Holdings and Mining Industry Pension Fund as an analyst, portfolio manager and head of research, among other roles. Makwata holds a BComm (finance) honours degree from Nust and is also a student member of the CFA Institute.

 
Jubelah Magutakuona —
Senior Fund Manager (ABCAM)
Magutakuona holds a BSc Honours Degree in Statistics from the University of Zimbabwe and an MSc in Finance and Investment from Nust. He has also recently completed an in-house leadership programme, the BancABC Group Executive Management Development Programme delivered through the University of Pretoria’s Gordon Institute of Business Science. He is currently the senior fund manager at ABC Asset Management where he is mandated with;

  • Crafting asset allocation strategy;
  • Portfolio construction for institutional and individual investors;
  • Executing trading strategy across equities, fixed income and other asset classes;
  • Managing in-house investment research and analyses.

Itai Chirume
Chirume has several years of diverse banking and investments management experience. In 2001,he started his stockbroking career with Momentum Stockbrokers before joining Zimnat Asset Management as an Investment Analyst in 2002.

 

He joined Kingdom Stockbrokers as an equities dealer until 2005 when he joined ZABG Stockbrokers as one of the four founding members, and later that year, acquired his stockbroking license. Chirume joined Premier Banking Corporation in February 2006, where he worked as chief investments officer and later as head of the financial markets division. He joined MMC Capital in February 2008 as one of the founding directors. He is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charter and a member of the CFA South Africa Society.

 
Rufaro Zengeni
Zengeni trained and completed articles with Ernst & Young. In August 2002 he joined Strategis Africa where he was responsible for implementing corporate governance and restructuring initiatives as a project manager.

 

He joined EFE Securities in its maiden year — 2003 — and helped transform it into a leading local brokerage. Zengeni has an Honours degree in Accounts from the University of South Africa and is also a member of the South African Institute of Financial Markets and the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange. He joined the Interfin
Securities board in December 2009 as an executive director.
