KickOff.com can confirm that the Mochudi Centre Chiefs winger is a target of a few PSL teams, but Chiefs have made the first move.
Chiefs’ football manager Bobby Motaung was spotted in the crowd when Botswana played Bafana Bafana on June 9 and made the enquiry about Mogorosi after the match.
Motaung couldn’t be reached for comment, but Centre Chiefs chairman Ernest Molome was available and he confirmed speaking to Motaung.
“I had a chat with Bobby Motaung, but it is not yet official. We still have to meet,” Molome said
The other PSL clubs after Mogorosi are Bloemfontein Celtic, Platinum Stars and Mamelodi Sundowns, but all those clubs have only made phone calls to Molome.
“We have had calls from a few teams in SA, but calls are just calls and there is nothing on the table,” he said.
However, the stumbling block is that Mogorosi has signed for Zimbabwean team FC Platinum in a three-year deal signed in March and apparently worth P400 000 (R431 000) and he is expected to leave Centre Chiefs to join them soon.
Molome now faces a challenge of pulling out of the deal with FC Platinum, to do a deal with a PSL side.
“Let me just say that will be between us and FC Platinum. This is business. The player is still with us,” said Molome .
FC Platinum are yet to receive Mogorosi’s international clearance from Centre Chiefs.
