Muchinguri, who has US$53 699 outstanding to Zesa, believed there were “ulterior motives because the publishing (of Zesa defaulters’ names) now makes it look like we are criminals”.
In my view, 99% of the people of Zimbabwe would rightly think that they are criminals.
It is fraud, to say the least, to consume electricity and not pay for it.
This is particularly so when the perpetrators are fully aware of the shambolic financial state in which Zesa finds itself. To top it off, it is duplicity of the highest order to then blame the malaise on the “illegal sanctions”.
