ALPHA Media Holdings subsidiary, Munn Marketing, has clinched a deal with South African-based BDFM to distribute Business Day and the Financial Mail magazine in Zimbabwe.

The deal was signed in December last year.

Munn Marketing sales and marketing manager Clifford Sibanda said they were happy to have tied up the deal with a leading publishing house in the region, which is expected to increase the number of business newspapers and magazines in Zimbabwe.

“Munn Marketing is very excited to clinch a distribution deal with top publications in the region,” said Sibanda. “We also have our usual publications, the Zimbabwe Independent, NewsDay, The Standard, the Mail & Guardian and over 70 wide-ranging magazine titles which we distribute,” said Sibanda.

Business Day is a daily newspaper which will be distributed during weekdays, while the Financial Mail magazine will be sold weekly.

The Financial Mail is a magazine which gives its readers insight into the business and political agenda in southern Africa.

Business Day is a business newspaper which keeps up with all business news and views that matter in Southern Africa and internationally.

Sibanda said with the distribution of these publications, Munn Marketing was catering to the need for business news to customers who read the Zimbabwe Independent and other business magazines they distribute on subscription.

“We are extending the aspect of catering for the need for business customers who read the Zimbabwe Independent and other business magazines,” he said.

Sibanda stressed that Business Day would be available on subscription only while the Financial Mail will be sold at Munn Marketing and other retail shops.
