National hero status is now a farce

RECENT political developments including President Robert Mugabe’s own definition of a hero and the rebuff from Welshman Mabhena’s family clearly shows that a clique within Zanu PF has hijacked the people’s revolution and personalised national issues.

According to those within Mugabe’s patronage system a hero is merely someone who still sees eye to eye with the current Zanu PF leadership.
Those that have differed with Mugabe have been vilified as cowards and villains even though the masses recognise them as national heroes.
