If it is implemented well-managed, the fund will see our people benefiting.
It will affirm the fact that despite our social, cultural and political diversity our common denominator is one –– being Zimbabweans.
I choose not to focus on the fears of those who think that this pronouncement will advance sectional interests at the expense of the development of the nation.
We want to see Zimbabweans working together so that they can achieve more for themselves.
For the fund to work well I propose that Constituency Development Committees should be set up in every constituency, comprising the elected political leadership, social and traditional leaders.
The church, local businesses, youth groups, and special interest groups amongst others can also pitch in. This way our people would come closer to each other and this would speed up the healing process of our beloved Zimbabwe.
