Bhasera Wins UK Permit Appeal

FORMER Kaizer Chiefs left-back Onismor Bhasera has successfully obtained a work permit for the United Kingdom and will in all likelihood seal his switch to English Premiership side Portsmouth next week.

The Zimbabwean got the work permit on appeal after his initial request had been turned down by authorities as Zimbabwe falls outside the top 70 nations on the Fifa World Rankings.
The 23-year-old from Mutare has returned to South Africa to wrap-up his personal responsibilities in the country and once he has completed the formality of a UK visa, will sign a three-year deal with Pompey next week.
Bhasera will join fellow Africans at the club in Bafana Bafana skipper Aaron Mokoena, Papa Bouba Diop (Senegal), John Utaka, Nwankwo Kanu (both Nigeria) and Nadir Belhadj (Algeria).
He will; become the second Zimbabwean to play for Portsmouth after his national team captain Benjani Mwaruwari — Kickoff.com
