THE deranged Red Devil passed a group of Barca fans in the town of Ogbo after the Spaniardsâ€™ 2-0 victory over United in the Champions League Final in Rome, before turning around to ram his mini-van into them.
â€œThe driver had passed the crowd then made a U-turn and ran into them,â€ a police spokeswoman said, adding that 10 other people had also been injured.
Meanwhile Spanish police say 80 officers were hurt in clashes with fans celebrating Barcelonaâ€™s defeat of Manchester United in the Champions League final in Rome.
Some 100 000 people packed the streets of Barcelona, singing and setting off fireworks on Wednesday night. Some also threw bottles and damaged property.
More than 100 people were arrested and two dozen taken to hospital.
The players were expected to parade the trophy through the streets of Barcelona in an open-top bus later yesterday.
Several Spanish newspapers have described them as the best Barcelona team ever, having collected an unprecedented treble of titles in the domestic league, the Copa del Rey, and now the Champions League.
Trouble also flared at celebrations for the first two titles earlier this month.
