Woods remains in limbo at Chikurubi

IT is with interest that we read recent Misa adverts which complain about Supreme Court delays in handing down judgement on constitutional matters such as the Capitol radio and journalists’ cases

Their issues are not the only ones stagnating – jailed former CIO senior operative and convicted South African intelligence agent Kevin Woods remains in limbo at Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison.

His constitutional application for life-preserving heart treatment that is not available in Zimbabwe was heard in June 2002, and is still outstanding.

This is an urgent medical application and the Supreme Court is expected to expedite this “right to life” matter.
