IN your edition of July 23 you carried a letter written by me under the heading “Silence of church amounts to complicity”.
This letter was in fact submitted to th
e Methodist Recorder, a weekly church paper published in the UK, and the reference to the “Methodist Conference” and “church” therefore related in the first instance to the Methodist Church UK – though, as the letter makes clear, the charge of complicity relates both to that church and to its sister church in this country.
