NESBITT group of companies has opened an upmarket hotel in Zimbabwe’s second largest city of Bulawayo. The hotel, called N1, has however not yet been rated by the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority.
The ZTA rates hotels and lodges
Recently, most hotels and lodges in the country were ordered to close because they did not meet ZTA standards.
The 24-roomed N1 Hotel has already started offering services to customers.
Nesbitt group of companies also runs Nesbit Arms in Chiredzi and Nesbitt Castle in the country’s second largest city.
N1 managing director, Rory Nesbitt, told businessdigest: “Currently the business has been hampered by fuel shortages. Most of our customers travel from different parts of the country. The tourism industry is struggling but our motto is to move forward as a group and we won’t give up.”
Nesbitt said N1 is one of the most competitive hotels in the country offering up-market accommodation services at the same time providing round the clock security services.
He also said the company was almost completing construction of a restaurant adjacent to the hotel that offers food services.
