Colcom revamps outlets

Staff Writer

COLCOM Holdings Ltd is revamping its Cash and Carry and adjacent Pork Shop outlets in Harare’s Coventry Road into a renamed Colcom City protein food shopping complex.

ONT face=”Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif”>The complex, which comprises a wholesale store and a retail outlet backed by all the necessary preparation and refrigeration facilities, will focus on supplying a wide range of value-added processed meats, including pork, beef and chicken, and complementary food protein requirements. These will be prepared and presented in different forms to meet varying market needs.

Colcom’s marketing and sales executive, Norita Adams, said: “The new name and new look are in line with modern trends in food marketing, incorporating new colour coding and signage concepts to promote brand clarity and variety. Staff are being trained in these concepts and in the associated customer services.

“While the previous Cash and Carry and Pork Shop outlets have served their purpose well over the years, the new name and facilities will more accurately reflect the fuller range of protein foods on offer and which will be available to the whole diversity of our customer base”.

Trading is continuing while the revamping is in progress and Colcom City will be officially launched with carnival events this weekend.
