THE general manager of St Lucia Park, Fungai Mutseyekwa, is this year’s Hospitality Association of Zimbabwe (HAZ) Young Host of the Year.

Mutseyekwa is the industry’s choice for this year.

“I felt humbled and could not believe I was the winner. I feel the award should have been accorded to St Lucia Park itself,” Mutseyekwa said.

Having worked for the hospitality industry for a long time and in top companies such as the Rainbow Tourism Group, scooping the award was inevitable for Mutseyekwa.

HAZ administrator Violet Rukande said: “We wish to cherish Mr Mutseyekwa’s contributions to the sector. He has been in the HAZ executive for quite a long time and we hope the award will make him even more involved in the industry.”

Mutseyekwa is general manager of St Lucia Park, Harare’s leading conference venue with up-to-date conference facilities.

The centre is situated 11 kilometres from Harare’s city centre and apart from conference facilities offers accommodation.

St Lucia Park also provides a variety of options that include private function facilities, a spacious car park that can accommodate up to 120 cars and a restaurant.
