Machadu is new Adma chairman

THE Advertising Media Association (Adma) has appointed Pilate Machadu as its new chairman.

He replaces Tapiwa Mandimutsira who had served in that position for several years.

Machadu, the sales and marketing

manager of the Financial Gazette, has served on the Adma executive committee for the past five years.

He began his career with Aon Minet before moving to Zimbabwe Newspapers where he was brand manager for the Herald and later the Sunday Mail and Kwayedza.

He also worked for Intermarket Building Society and had a stint at one of the largest advertising agencies before he moved to the Financial Gazette.

Machadu holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Na!tional University of Science and Technology and is currently on the dissertation stage of an MBA programm!e with the University Of Zimbabwe’s Graduate School of Management.

His ambition is to increase the membership of the organisation and to ensure that proper ethics are practised within the industry.

Machadu is married to Precious and they have a son, Tanatswanashe, who turns one on May 20. — Staff Writer
