AS part of its ongoing innovations, Econet Wireless has introduced electronic airtime distribution to its subscribers.
“The objective is to widen our distribution channels so as to make airtime readily avail
able to our customers,” said a spokesman in a statement yesterday.
For some time Econet has been exploring alternate airtime recharge and top-up options to enhance customer convenience and widen airtime distribution channels. Company spokesperson Dakarai Matanga said electronic airtime was already available in neighbouring countries.
“The widespread use of electronic recharge systems by GSM operators around the world is testimony of its effectiveness.
