Matter of fact

IN last week’s issue we reported that Senior Assistant Commissioner Frank Msutu and Assistant Commissioner Ngonidzaishe Gambiza had resigned from the force after being transferred to the Commissioner’s Pool.

face=”Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif”>Police spokesperson Wayne Bvudzijena this week told us Snr Ass Comm Msutu had retired from the force. He was not at any time attached to the Commissioner’s Pool.

He said Ass Comm Gambiza was retired after a board of inquiry was set up by the Commissioner to decide on his suitability. He was also not attached to the Commissioner’s Pool.

We apologise for the error.

In our lead story last week on Harare’s water crisis we said Elias Mudzuri was elected to head Harare City Council in 2000. That should have read 2002. Also last week a caption in our Xtra section headed “Prince Charles” should have read “Prince Harry”.
