INTERNATIONALLY acclaimed artist Daryl Nero is scheduled to exhibit his latest works this evening at the Richard Rennie Art Gallery in Alexandra Park, Harare.
The exhibition promises to be a treat for collectors as it will showc
ase some of the renowned artist’s most recent paintings and drawings done at Sinamatella.
Nero, who has a wealth of experience spanning 40 years, specialises in architectural and wildlife drawings, and has been at the centre stage of promoting and supporting indigenous painters by imbuing and sharing with them his brushstroke skills.
Judy Ballantyne, manager of the gallery, said Nero’s works speak highly of his experience and international recognition, and have made an immense contribution in empowering black artists.
“Nero has done a lot for black artists in Zimbabwe and is extremely well-known for his wildlife and architectural pieces of work. Here is an artist of enormous experience and international acclaim. The exhibition is open to everyone and artists themselves can take a cue from his experience, while interacting to share ideas,” said Ballantyne. — Staff Writer.
