JUNIOR teams from South Africa and Namibia arescheduled to arrive in the country today for the inau-gural Golf Tri-Nations Development tournament.

Events to be contested include one foursome match play, two singles matches play and a media match each in both the singles and foursomes.

Zimbabwe Junior Golf Association (ZPGA) secretary Lynn Rocher said the new tournament follows developmental plans to integrate junior golfers in the region and increase competition. The three countries will each have two teams, the Under-16s and the Under -19s.


The Zimbabwe team, coached by ZPGA president Roger Baylis, is as follows:


Under-16 – J McKenzie, C Drazdik, N Mauchaza and JM Kim.

Under-18 – N McDonald, A Watch, M McGrady and F Chitengwa.
