Hypocrisy on education revolting

AS a Zimbabwean citizen I feel very offended when a cabinet minister or representative of government stands up to praise a government or rural school for excellent Ordinary and Advanced level results.

Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif”>

This is despite the fact that none of their children are currently attending or attended those schools.

We know their children are at Convent, Peterhouse, Hartmann House, St Georges, Arundel, the list is endless. In all honesty, none of their children are even included in the Zimsec survey of the top 50 schools and they sit for the more internationally recognised Cambridge exams which make them eligible to attend universities abroad.

Education minister Aenias Chigwedere should not patronise us. I challenge him and his compatriots in government to come clean and tell us which schools their children are attending.

Not Stupid,

Harare.
