Byo fund: We need updates PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 12 January 2012 17:19

WE now hear that the US$40 million Distressed and Marginalised Areas Fund (Dimaf) will not benefit all closed firms in Bulawayo but only priority companies determined by the Industry and Commerce ministry and CABS.
This is what happens when people are told, in advance, of nonexistent disbursements. In future why not wait till all the internal mechanics are in place before making excitable noises, please. Whatever momentum and enthusiasm this had generated has since evaporated.

Be that as it may, I think it is appropriate that thanks be given to the Industry and Commerce minister, Welshman Ncube, for giving an update on this vital issue. Could the minister give us another update in 14 days as promised? Otherwise this information blackout is not helping anybody, the good minister included.

Otherwise this merry-go-round will continue unabated.

CV,
Harare.
